Getting You Playing Sooner
We're full steam ahead on refining content for early access. That means playable experiences - something you can actually get your hands on.
Being me, I started with ambition. "Across the All Forge" - a grand adventure set in a central nexus with portals to seven dimensions. Play as a mortal hero challenging beings far beyond your power, or as a mighty entity toying with those who dare enter your realm. Large in scope. Intentionally unbalanced. The kind of experience where the asymmetry is the point.
Not balancing everything perfectly lets us get systems out faster and into your hands sooner. That was the logic, anyway.
Then my team made a good point, and I had to listen: as much as I want you stepping into a grand multi-dimensional adventure, that takes time. And we want you playing sooner, not later.
Introducing New in Newfield
So while "Across the All Forge" continues to develop in the background, our primary focus has shifted to something more grounded: "New in Newfield."
It's a slice of life experience. You've traded city life for something quieter - a small town where everyone knows your name. Almost. Unpack your boxes, meet curious neighbors, find your rhythm. Family-friendly, cozy, and approachable.
But don't let "cozy" fool you. This experience lets us showcase core FableForge systems quickly: character memory, world lore integration, location exploration, item use, and more. We're shipping this one without combat - again, to get you playing sooner. Combat-heavy experiences are coming. This one proves the foundation.
The Mission: Get You Playing
We still have site infrastructure work to finish before early access opens up. A lot of it is already done, but not all.
The details of how early access will work - and who gets to play when - are still coming. But if you're active in our Discord community, you'll likely be first in line when doors start opening.
The mission right now is simple: get you playing soon, capture your feedback, and use it to make the bigger, grander adventures even better. "New in Newfield" is the on-ramp. The flagship experiences are still being built - and your early feedback will shape them.
What's Next
Grand adventures are coming. Dimensional portals, cosmic power imbalances, gods and mortals colliding - all of it. But first, we get you into the system. First, we learn what works and what doesn't with real players.
First, we get you playing.
More details on early access soon. For now, the work continues.
